Not content with mapping our streets Google has purchased its very own snowmobile to take its web based mapping service to a number of ski resorts in the US and Canada.

Amongst the resorts available are Whistler Peak, British Columbia and Crystal Mountain, Colorado – allowing armchair bound adventurers to take in the mountain vistas without risking frostbite.

It follows a range of new mapping services launched by Google in recent months; including interiors, world landmarks and even the river Amazon.
