Christian Guinot, former managing director of MEC Russia, has been named as president of MEC China.

Guinot takes over the role from Michelle Ki and will report to Stephen Li, CEO of Asia Pacific and Bessie Lee, CEO of GroupM China, while also joining MEC’s Asia Pacific Executive Committee.

Li said, “In Christian we are extremely fortunate to have someone with such strong skills and reputation within our company. I am confident that with Christian’s knowledge and experience he will re-energise our operations, creating positive change for the agency. Christian has done a fantastic job as CEO MEC Russia and understands the opportunities available in a growing economy, so the decision for him to become President in China was an easy one. I’m delighted that he’s accepted the challenge to take China to the heights it deserves.”

Christian Guinot commented, “This is truly an honor and I’m absolutely fired up to get change moving throughout the agency. We have a fantastic opportunity to focus and organize and move MEC China into a leadership position in the world’s most exciting market.”
