Travel operator First is running a nationwide campaign to increase awareness of the brand and its services.

The ‘We Believe’ campaign, created by Glasgow ad agency Frame, allows the brand to highlight several messages, such as ‘We believe in low emissions’ and ‘We believe in Freebies’, which includes a give-away promotion that began last week.

Campaign tracking has taken place across the UK as travellers are encouraged to use more First bus services, running until 2011 across leaflet drops to just under 3 million households, a six week radio campaign, promotional tickets, on-bus posters and TV in Yorkshire, Wales and the West.

The First Bus website will also support the campaign, with media planning and buying by MEC.

Emma Latimer, PR manager for First Glasgow, explained: “For outdoor advertising we have made good use of our bus fleet with wraps, megarears, streetliners, supersides and superrears covering our network areas.”

“Frame is currently developing some messages for Christmas using the ‘We believe’ campaign approach and this will be rolled out offline and online over the next few weeks.”
