Sports brand Adidas has been forced to take its digital platforms offline after they were subject to a cyber-attack.

The company was apparently the victim of an attack last week, although it has said that no customer data seems to have been compromised.

As a precaution, the company chose to take down its websites in order to add extra data security measures.

The websites have now been relaunched.

"Nothing is more important to us than the privacy and security of our consumers' personal data. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time,” said a spokesperson.
