A new app, London Bus Stop, uses GPS to deliver real-time London bus information to commuters smartphones.

Developed by South West London duo Tom Daniels and George Palmer, the app is the first of its type to be available on both Apple and Android phones. Features include live times for over 20,000 London bus stops, using TfL data, and an alarm that alerts commuters when to leave in order to catch their bus.

The alarm works using GPS technology to automatically calculate the amount of time it takes to walk to the bus stop from the commuters current location. In theory, people should arrive at the stop the second the bus pulls into view.

“The London Bus Stop app was designed to save commuters time and stress and should really improve the experience of the majority of London bus commuters” says George Palmer, co-developer of the app.
