Jemm Ireland, the joint venture between real-time advertising network Jemm Group and Irish online specialist Flashpoint, has announced Elaine Bresnan as general manager.

Bresnan has spent almost five years in digital advertising and brings with her a specific and vast amount of knowledge of the publishing sector.

She will be supported locally in Ireland by the Flashpoint team and will work alongside Jemm Ireland commercial director Keith O'Reilly.

Bresnan said: “I’m looking forward to cementing Jemm’s reputation in Ireland and launching RTB in the Irish marketplace. It is a technology that is still incredibly undervalued and underdeveloped in Ireland and our job at Jemm is to educate publishers in this area. Real-time bidding is revolutionising the online advertising world and as one of the largest advertising markets in Europe, we want to bring this to Ireland too.”

Julia Smith, communications director at Jemm, said: “At Jemm, we worked hard to find the right partner in Ireland in Flashpoint and we take great pleasure in welcoming Elaine, who has in-depth knowledge of the publisher market in Ireland, on-board. Jemm Group has seen its real-time bidding business become a great success in the UK and we’re seeing a clear demand for a real time service in Ireland. Being one of the most established markets in Europe, it makes sense to extend our reach into this area.”
