The former managing director of The Media Innovation Group (MIG), Brian Fitzpatrick has joined video advertising platform

Firzpatrick will take up the role of leading business development and operations as European managing director at the WPP owned business.

He will be tasked with growing the agency, it ad network and publisher partnerships, while also leading the management of its European operations.

“Advances in technology mean that online video advertising is now receiving the attention and budget it deserves,” explains Fitzpatrick. “ has an impressive team and track record, and is ideally placed to be at the forefront of the industry. This role is a great opportunity to play a part in its growth, particularly as trends in video viewership expand beyond the television, with ad budgets being sure to follow.”

Meanwhile, Mark Connolly is to take up the position of UK managing director MIG, having previously held the role of commercial director and interim managing director at Adconion.
