A new timetable for the election of a new deputy general secretary has been released by the National Union of Journalists as it hold the election for a second time after the previous election saw members vote, who were not entitled to.

The re-run ballot papers will be sent out on Monday 21 November, with close of receipt scheduled for 5 January.

The count will take place on 5 January and will be ratified on 6 January.

The original election took place in September, when it was found that ineligible members had been asked to cast their votes for a new deputy general secretary.
