Digital recruitment specialist Propel is opening a Manchester office, and is searching for a sales manager to head it up.

The Drum was informed that the sales manager will be expected to set up the Manchester operations and build out relationships for the new branch.

The new Manchester office, which will have up to five staff members, will mark the beginning of Propel's expansion beyond its London roots, with the aim to develop localised recruitment teams who will be able to achieve a more coordinated network for recruitment across all of the key digital hubs in the UK.

Emma McNamara, director and co-founder of Propel, said: “It has always been Propel's mission to work with the very best companies that operate in the digital industry, and with many exceptional digital businesses based in the north of the UK, it’s our aim to deliver our same value-added digital recruitment service to the buzzing Manchester digital industry.

“Propel has a long history of working within new and evolving talent pools, contributing through networking, research and industry partnerships that bring those talent pools together and help them to become even better established. It’s our aim to bring that collaborative approach to our work in the north of the UK and indeed widen these talent pools to develop and benefit a much wider digital community.”

The company, which has London based clients with Manchester offices, has not set a launch date yet for its new office, with The Drum being told that this will depend on the sales manager Manchester hire.
