A nationwide campaign is to be launched in France next week by the Colibris (Hummingbird) movement for the 2012 Presidential Elections, with the aim of everyone being a candidate.

The movement, created by Pierre Rabhi, aims to mobilize much wider participation in the radical social experiments that have emerged in recent years: low-impact housing, off-grid energy, seed sharing, community-supported agriculture.

Colibris aims to get 25,000 candidates: at the time of writing there were 589.

For those who remember their school French, watch the video above for more information.
