DDB UK has promoted former strategy director Dom Boyd and Drew Burdon, head of strategy for Tribal DDB, to planning partners.

The pair will oversee the planning department at the agency, reporting to Lucy Jameson, executive strategy director, while Burdon will also retain his role as within Tribal DDB.

The move sees the agency aim to harness the diversity of its planning department, which offers a number of skills across digital strategy to social, data and user experience.

Lucy Jameson, commented: “I’m delighted to promote Dom and Drew. Putting them together to manage our diverse squad of planners was the obvious move. Together they bring wonderfully different perspectives on how to crack brand problems of any flavour and reflect our ambition to become an innovation hothouse.”

Stephen Woodford, CEO and Chairman of DDB UK added: “Our planning department has evolved through different permutations as consumer behaviours have changed. This move represents the future of DDB planning: an intuitive combination of technological insight and a passion for effective planning led by creativity and innovation.”
