Google launches first ever online safety campaign

Google has joined forces with the Citizens Advice Bureau to launch the search giants first eve ronline safety campaign.

Across newspapers, public transport and online the tech giant will promote a “safe search” message by encouraging browsers to adopt best practice when logged onto the net.

This includes encouraging use of secure passwords, logging out after use

It is the first campaign that Google has ever produced that is not directly geared toward flogging a product.

Google claimed said that the campaign aims to “empower users to tackle their online security concerns and make more informed decisions about their internet use”.
