Department of Health cuts communications spend by 82%
The Department of Health has cut its communications spend by over three quarters, with the Central Office of Information seeing a fall of 82% in the payments it received.
The Guardian reports that, through an FOI report, it has learned that total spend by the department fell from £822.2m in 2009-10 to £433.8m in 2010-11 to suppliers, while its payments to the COI fell from £154.5m to £27.6m in 2010-2011.
