After nearly 10 years, co-founder of Family, Jill Taylor is to leave the Edinburgh creative agency.

Taylor is set to depart, seeking a move client side, handing over account management duties at Family to Helen Crosthwaite.

Explained Taylor; “I’ve worked for a very long time, helping some amazing clients to achieve great things. Now is the right time to pass that responsibility to Helen. I’m not the first and I won’t be the last person to make the move to the client side. I’m looking forward to a new challenge and concentrating my efforts solely on the job without the distractions of running a SME. Of course I will miss my talented colleagues and clients, however I am very much looking forward to life on the other side of the fence.”

Co-founder, Ian Wright said, “ I fully respect Jill’s decision to make this move, but I will miss her. As a fellow Director, work colleague and most importantly a great friend, she has made a real difference to our agency. She has been a joy to work with and we have shared many great times. For our clients however, it will be business as usual with Helen in charge. Helen has over 17 years experience and she will continue to maintain the high standards of Account Management achieved at our agency.”

Wright added; "The marketing and advertising industry in Scotland is a tough place to be right now. The current environment is probably the most challenging of my entire career. Over the last few months we have been looking at all our options, both as individuals and as an agency. Jill's departure will give us a chance to restructure and promote from within. We have held interesting discussions over the last few months with other partners interested in merging or being acquired and we shall continue to do this, in order to further strengthen our offering. At the same time we have built up a great network in London and we are looking at how we establish a creative presence there."

Prior to Family, which was established in 2002, Taylor also worked at Faulds and The Bridge.
