BT and Talk Talk allowed to appeal against Digital Economy Act
BT and Talk Talk have today been granted permission to appeal against a High Court ruling on anti-piracy law, the Digital Economy Act.
The companies were originally denied permission to appeal the decision, made in April, which threatens file shares with reduces or no internet usage.
BT said: “We are pleased to have been granted permission to appeal the High Court judgment.
“We now expect that the hearing will take place as soon as possible.”
A date has not yet been set for the appeal.
