No Fear Extreme Energy seeks not-so-super hero
Energy drink brand No Fear Extreme Energy is on the hunt for a not-so-super-hero to take on the nation's fears.
Its new campaign calls on people to visit a dedicated microsite fearlessfred.co.uk and apply to take part. But rather than daredevils and knuckleheads, it is wimps the drink brand wants for the role of ‘Fearless Fred’.
Recruitment ads are being targeted at men’s print media, including mags such as Zoo, Kerrang, FHM, Empire, Q and Mojo.
Applicants have to upload an audition video that will then appear on a Fearless Fred leader board, with visitors to the site then encouraged to vote for their favourite. The 100 entrants with the most votes will receive a Fearless Fred costume and a crate of No Fear Extreme Energy.
The eventual winner, chosen by a panel on 18 December, will receive £1,000 and be whisked off to take part in a challenge on behalf of the nation.
