Coca-Cola has been named the Best Global Brand for the 12th consecutive year by Interbrand, while Apple was found to be the highest rising brand on the Top 100 list, with an increase of 58% in brand value.
The list is made up extensively of technology brands with IBM placing second, Apple at number 8and HTC making its first appearance on the list at 98.
Luxury brands were also found to be on the rise with Louise Vuitton at 18, Gucci at 39, Hermès at 66, Tiffany at 73, Armani 93 and Burberry at 95, the latter having increased its brand value by 20%.
The report analyses three key aspects of a brand’s value; financial performance of branded products, the role of a brand in the purchase decision and the strength that a brand will play in securing earnings.
Lead by the Coca-Cola, the top 10 brands were, IBM, Microsoft, Google, General Electric, McDonalds, Intel, Apple, Disney and Hewlett Packard.
