IPC Southbank appoints new digital director

IPC Southbank, which publishes magazines including Marie Claire, woman&home and Look, has appointed Anthony Thornton as digital director.

Thornton is currently digital editorial development director at Southbank Fashion and group digital editor at IPC Inspire. He has been instrumental in the development of marieclaire.co.uk.

In his new role Thornton will join the IPC Southbank board and report to its managing director Jackie Newcombe.

She said: "Anthony’s work on our fashion titles – Marie Claire, InStyle and Look – has been truly exceptional and we have seen significant development on the web, in mobile and in social media. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to extend Anthony’s knowledge and expertise across the entire group.”
