Telecommunications provider T-Mobile has announced the launch of its new television commercial, set to hit screens this Friday in support of its You Fix plan.

According to Mobile Magazine, the ad, titled Parking Ticket, sees a fake traffic warden post parking tickets on the cars of unsuspecting motorists. The parking tickets, also fake, actually contain cash prizes of between £5-£50; the motorist’s reactions were captured by a film crew.

T-Mobile director of brand Spencer McHugh told Mobile Magazine: ‘You Fix is the only tariff of its kind and combines the benefits of pay monthly with the flexibility and spending control of pay as you go. It means whatever happens there will not be any surprise bills at the end of the month. Parking Ticket is about demonstrating this in the creative, fun and engaging way that is unique to T-Mobile campaigns. We are looking forward to watching motorists all across the UK get a surprise they weren’t expecting from T-Mobile.’

The two-minute ads by Saatchi and Saatchi are being supported by print and digital ads; the television ad goes live Friday, 9pm on Channel 5.
