Sportsdirect.com set for largest mail order investment with new catalogue roll out

Sportsdirect.com has made its largest mail order investment to launch its new catalogue, which also features interviews with Wayne Rooney, Paula Radcliffe and John McEnroe.

Two million copies of the 724 page catalogue will be produced, featuring over 5,800 products, and specialist sections for a range of sports, including football, rugby, golf, outdoor, fitness and biking.

Vincent Smith, head of marketing at Sportsdirect.com, commented: “As a key focus of our marketing strategy, it is essential that our latest edition contains true added value in product proposition, editorial content and consumer offers.

Our objectives through work carried out with Haymarket Network and internal teams have been realized in exceptional fashion.”

Simon Kanter, editorial director for customer publishing agency Haymarket Network, added: “From our point of view the new catalogue is really ground-breaking and demonstrates the value that editorial content can bring to a showcase for products. Sportsdirect.com is delivering its customers a genuinely useful guide that they will want to spend time browsing through and reading.”

The catalogue will be available in stores and online from tomorrow 15 September for 50p.
