Peppa Pig and Twilight distributer Entertainment One admits possible sale

Television and film distributor Entertainment One, which owns the Peppa Pig franchise and also distributes the Twilight saga, has admitted it may sell the company.

Following press speculation yesterday, the company has moved to confirm that it is considering its future, and that a sale could take place.

A statement given to the stock market read: “The Board of Entertainment One Ltd. notes the recent press speculation and confirms that it is considering its strategic options, which may include a sale of the Company in response to interest it has received from various parties. J.P.Morgan and Credit Suisse have been engaged to co-ordinate the review for the board. There can be no certainty that an offer will be forthcoming for the Company. A further announcement will be made in due course.”
