Noted advertising figures including Sir John Hegarty, Rory Sutherland and Bil Bungay are auctioning off their own unique pieces of art to raise money for industry charity NABS.

Fifty blank canvases were issued to figureheads from the creative world and their works will be auctioned tomorrow night at Sam's Chop House in Manchester (between 6.30 and 8pm).

Advertising agency BJL has helped organise the auction. If you can't make it down tomorrow but want to reserve any of the pieces contact the agency's Lorraine Airley: lorraine.airley@bjl.co.uk

Kate Harris, head of regional development at NABS, said: “Following a successful auction in London 10 years ago which raised £10k for NABS, we decided to run another in Edinburgh and now Manchester, as it is fast becoming the creative hub of the North.

“It’s extremely important that NABS raise enough money to continue our work supporting those in need. Calls to NABS services are at an all time high and yet it is harder than ever to raise funds.

“NABS always strives to remain as relevant as possible to the industry it represents and this event, centred around creativity, aims to showcase some of the unseen talent we have across the advertising arena.”
