New HMV marketing and ecommerce chief Hodgekinson poached from ASDA
Asda’s digital and financial services director Mark Hodgkinson has been named as the new marketing and ecommerce director for HMV.
At Asda, Hodgkinson oversee Asda.com, Asda Direct and Asda Financial Services, and will now join HMV from 5 October, taking over the role from Steve Napleton.
Earlier today, HMV Group announced a fall in sales of 19.4% over the last year.
Total HMV Retail sales, including the impact of 29 store closures, were down 21.8%.
