Marks & Spencer will tonight unveil the first of two autumn/winter wear adverts during the break of ITV’s Read or Black...but you can see it here first.

Created by London-based agency Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe, the advert, entitled Rendezvous, features actress Charlotte Weston deciding what to wear for dinner, and deciding on a floral per una dress.

The second ad, which breaks on Friday, is titled The Date. It follows model Claire Durkin getting ready for a first date as she tries on a number of confidence inspiring, on-trend outfits before opting for an Autograph wrap dress in a hot bright colourway.

Steve Sharp, M&S executive director, said: “These ads capture the build-up, excitement and emotion at a time when clothes matter more than ever. They tap into the universal truth that women don’t just wear clothes to cover up or follow a trend. They wear them to feel good, to feel more confident and glamorous.

“To bring this to life, we decided to use lesser known faces, so our customers will relate to the scenarios and feel empathy with the characters.”

The media buying agency involved is Walker Media.
