Pinewood Studios launch website created by Multiply

Pinewood Studios Group, who has been involved in the making of films such as Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Captain America: The First Avenger, has redeveloped its website with Multiply.

Pinewood briefed Multiply to create an international website that would appeal to film industry professionals; allow its services and facilities to be easily accessed; and reflect the industry status of Pinewood.

The design and build of the website was managed by Daniel Lennox, technology systems manager for the Pinewood Studios Group and by Mark Reilly for Multiply.

Multiply chose to create a solution using Drupal, an enterprise class CMS, at its core. Microformats were implemented for addresses to allow intelligent importing of the information into Microsoft and Apple contact lists and increase the ‘findability’ of the information by search engines.

Paul Baker, executive vice president at Pinewood USA, said: “This is the first digital project Multiply have undertaken for The Pinewood Group and we’ve been hugely impressed by both their technical expertise and project management skills. Every challenge they encountered in the build process was tackled with enthusiasm and intelligent practicality.
