Research carried out by Mintel has found that readers of The Times are most likely to be satisfied with their lives than readers of any other national daily.

The research found that 60% of The Times readers said they would say ‘I am utterly satisfied with my life’, compared to 49% of Independent readers, 45% of Daily Star readers and 52% of Guardian readers.

47% of those who do not read a newspaper said that they are utterly satisfied with their life.

Toby Clark, head of financial services at Mintel, told The Times what he thought the reason for this was: ‘As The Times’s advertisers will know, you have an older and more affluent readership, I expect it has something to do with that.”
