GMG Radio has entered into a partnership with Audioboo which will allow listeners to upload their own content for use in its stations' programmes.

They will be invited to upload audio clips, complete with photo and location, and the best will be used across the group's stable of national, regional and city radio stations.

Richard Lucas, group head of digital at GMG, said: "This partnership will provide another opportunity for our listeners to interact with our stations.

"It’s a quick and easy way to share audio and pictures and we know it’s a service that our tech-savvy listeners will enjoy using."

Mark Rock, founder & CEO of Audioboo, added: "We've always been interested in working with radio stations to help them embrace this new era of social content.

"Working with GMG Radio is a fantastic opportunity – their brands are popular, well established and loved by audiences – and we are looking forward to offering those audiences new ways to listen to and interact with their favourite shows.”
