The Jonathan Ross show will be sponsored by Mini when it launches next month on ITV.

It has been reported that the sponsorship idents are being developed by WCRS and the deal was brokered by ITV Commercial and Mini’s agency Vizeum.

A Mini spokesperson said: "As a British icon MINI is delighted to be so closely associated with another British icon, Jonathon Ross. We will use the partnership to launch our newest car, the MINI Coupé and we know that Jonathan Ross's unequalled blend of humour and chat appeals to the typical MINI driver."

Bhavit Chandrani, ITV Group sales controller, said: "We’re anticipating The Jonathan Ross Show to be a huge success; Jonathan Ross is an iconic host with a great sense of humour who appeals to mass audiences. We are thrilled to have MINI on board as the sponsor and strongly believe they are the perfect fit for The Jonathan Ross show. We hope that the partnership will be a great platform for MINI to reach their core target audience."

The original promotions for the Jonathan Ross show were revealed last week.

In the first show, which will air 3 September, Ross will be chatting to Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton, singer Adele and actress Sarah Jessica Parker.
