A Gary Tank Commander iPhone game called ‘Stop that tank’ has been launched.

The game is based on an episode in series two of BBC TV show Gary Tank Commander where Gary and his friends lose their tank whilst eating chips at a motorway service station.

The new app game is the second official Gary App to compliment the original Gary Soundboard app that had over 70000 downloads and earlier this year was one of the top 20 entertainment apps on iTunes.

Producing comedy apps is a new development for The Comedy Unit who producecomedy programming in the fields of scripted comedy and entertainment.

April Chamberlain, managing director, said: “We’re delighted that Gary Tank Commander's first app was so successful allowing us to give Gary fans even more laughs as they help him in this new iPhone game.

“The new digital platforms represent an exciting opportunity for us to explore new ways of delivering great comedy shows like Gary Tank Commander to a wider audience and we’re hoping that the legions of Gary’s fans will enjoy the exclusive, bespoke material that has been specially created for them to enjoy in this format.”
