FremantleMedia’s brand extension arm Fremantle Media Enterprised has appointed Kate Schlomann as EVP brand management and marketing.

Schlomann takes on the newly created role with the responsibility for overseeing the strategy and management of the company’s international brands, as well as its global corporate marketing.

The London-based role has been created as a result of the group’s expansion into new areas of intellectual property development, inclusing the launch of its Children’s & Family Entertainment division.

The company works with entertainment franchises such as The X Factor, Neighbours, The IT Crowd and Grand Designs.

Previously VP of international brand management for Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products, Scholmann will report to CEO David Ellander and will integrated the marketing, PR, events and creative departments.

Ellender commented, “Kate’s background is impeccable; her experience with huge global kids’ brands, in major studio environments and in the licensing & retail space makes her the ideal candidate and we look forward to welcoming her to the FME family.”

She will take up the role from November.
