A series of site hoardings to promote CB1, a 26-acre development next to Cambridge mainline station, has been developed by Silk Pearce.

Around 400m of hoardings have been completed to protect the site and highlight the work that is underway on the project, which is being jointly developed by Brookgate and Network Rail.

The creative plays on the letters C and B and aims to encourage people to ‘see the future’ and ‘be part of it’, with activity running across hoardings, advertising, literature and other materials.

Text, illustrations, computer generated images of flagship buildings and vibrant colours are used to denote the four development areas planned for the site.

The large-format inkjet panels have been laminated with an anti-graffiti coating also.

“The hoardings are functional but also decorative street art that we hope will fire the community’s imagination and excitement as we transform this site and the area around the station into a new city quarter,” said Derek Ford, director at Brookgate.
