Lawyers set to ask judge to throw out case of man claiming half of Facebook
Mark Zuckerberg will be a happy man today if a judge throws out a claim by a colleague from the past that he owns half of Facebook.
Lawyers for the social network and its founder, Mark Zuckerberg, are due in federal court in Buffalo , New York, opposite attorneys for Paul Ceglia, who claims he's got a 2003 contract making him half owner of Facebook. Ceglia will not be in court - he has moved to Ireland claiming harassment by Facebook lawyers.
Facebook says the contract is a fake - a doctored version of an actual contract their experts found on Ceglia's computer from when the two men worked together on a street mapping project in Boston. Zuckerberg was an 18-year-old student at Harvard - and Facebook hadn't been formally founded.
