Alienation Digital has launched a Facebook app for “Scotty” Brand and Real Radio which invites the public to ‘get “Scotty” branded’.

The app will be integrated into the radio campaign to promote brand awareness in Scotland.

The app allows people to add Scottish stereotypical characteristics to their image, such as ginger hair, bagpipes and lots of tartan. The ‘Scottified’ image can then be shared on Facebook.

Family run business Albert Bartlett launched “Scotty” Brand in 1948 with the belief that there was a need for healthy and locally grown food. “Scotty” Brand was relaunched in 2010 across a range of Scottish products.

John Hicks, marketing manager at Albert Bartlett, said: “It has been great working with Real Radio and Alienation Digital to produce this app. We are fairly new to the social media side of things, but we think this app is great fun and our customers will really enjoy using it.

“It is good to see this kind of technology and communication used in the fresh produce category. I challenge you and your friends to get “Scotty” Branded”.
