A restructuring process at Cello owned Tangible Group in Edinburgh has begun, which could see around 10 redundancies made as a result.

The consultation process is now underway, across different areas of the business, although none are thought to be director level.

Tangible Group’s Edinburgh companies include The Leith Agency, Blonde Digital, Tangible, Stripe and Leithal Thinking.

John Rowley, chief executive of Tangible Group, commented; “Client needs are changing and we have to change with them. Our businesses in Scotland have become market leader because they’ve been willing to adapt early to new trends in the industry. Our new structure will make us more efficient, whilst also delivering cost savings.”

He confirmed that less than 10 redundancies were likely to be made at different levels of the company.

“Whilst we’re delivering efficiencies in some areas, we’re continuing to invest in those that are growing, namely in insight, brand & data planning, digital campaign development and PR where headcount has grown significantly,” continued Rowley.

“We’re increasingly leaving behind those areas of traditional, commodity production that clients simply don’t value any more.

“Despite the extremely challenging financial climate, we are on track to deliver a strong and profitable result this year,” he added.
