As the eighth and final Harry Potter film is released in cinemas, a YouGov survey reveals that 60% of the UK public have seen at least one of the Harry Potter films.

Of the respondents, 60.03% had seen at least one Harry Potter film, and 56% have seen the first film: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

Nearly two thirds of respondents (63%) prefer the books to the films, but 25% said they prefer the movies.

The research on all things Harry Potter showed that summoning charm Accio is the most popular spell; 56% of people would like to own the invisibility cloak out of all three hallows; 16% want to take Defence Against the Dark Arts classes at Hogwarts and 48% of people would like to be sorted into the house of Gryffindor, ‘where dwell the brave of heart’.
