MPs attempt to pressure Piers Morgan to give evidence about phone hacking scandal
Piers Morgan could be dragged into the phone hacking scandal has MP’s demand that the former editor of the Daily Mirror gives evidence.
According to The Daily Express, three conservative MP’s, Aidan Burley, Nigel Adams and Douglas Carswell have used blogging website Guido Fawkes, to pressure Morgan, currently hosting his own talk show on CNN and acting as a judge on America’s Got Talent, to explain how the paper uncovered the affair between Ulrika Jonsson and Sven Goran Eriksson.
It is alleged that the newspaper hacked Jonssons’ phone to uncover the details of the affair.
The Daily Express says that Morgan had declined to comment.
