Graeme McMurray, who previously ran Rubix Communications, has joined Keltie Cochrane as its head of strategy and planning.

McMurray has joined the Gateshead creative business, having previously also worked in client services for Newcastle advertising agency Drummon Central, as Keltie Cochrane aims to become a full-service agency having previously concentrated on design.

The agency also plans to expand its design team.

Richard Jefferson, partner at Keltie Cochrane, commented: “It’s great to welcome Graeme into the business. His understanding of putting together multi-layered marketing campaigns will allow us to work on significant projects and take the business forward as we take on ambitious growth plans.”

Jefferson contined: “There’s no denying that the industry has been going through a tough spell over the last three years, but we’re in a great position to be able to work with some huge international brands on both sides of the Atlantic such as Lucasfilm, Rolling Stone magazine, the BBC and The Wall Street Journal. Having our clients spread all over the world has definitely helped our growth so far and it’s a great time to take this further with Graeme on board.”
