Ginsters launches new “lovechild” app

Ginsters has launched a new app as part of its “Man Plea” campaign.

The new app, titled “If the Sandwich and the Pasty had a Lovechild,” has been released to promotes its new range of Cornish Bara snacks.

The app enables you to create your own “lovechild” by combining features from two faces and add a fun background. The app was developed by Grey advertising, Plymouth-based Bluestone 360 provides the brand’s below-the-line communications.

Ginsters claims that its Cornish Bara range is what would result if the sandwich and the pasty had a lovechild. “Bara” is literally Cornish for “bread”.

The app release is part of Ginsters’ £6.5 million “Man Plea” campaign, created by Grey, which aims to promote Ginsters products as a tasty meal – oven baked and eaten at home – while also reiterating the brand’s ongoing “properly filled with quality local ingredients” messaging.

The app is now available from the iPhone store.
