Dairy brand Lactofree has launched an iPhone app which provides supports and advice for people who are lactose intolerant.

Created by digital agency Outside Line, the Lactofree App has been developed to help sufferers eat out, eat in and do the weekly shop without the digestive discomfort.

It contains a guide to restaurants suitable for those who are lactose intolerant and a library of safe recipes.

“This is a perfect example of how brands can use digital technologies to provide truly inspirational tools that do so much more than simply promote their products," said Outside Line director Ant Cauchi.

"Together with Arla Foods and Lactofree we’ve designed an App with the potential to make a very real, very positive impact upon people's lives, and are all extremely proud to be part of that effort."

According to Lactofree, there are more than nine million lactose intolerance sufferers in the UK.
