Real, Smooth and Rock Radio are launching their popular programming as bespoke music streams today through online music provider We7.

This move by the GMG Radio brands expands on the partnership created with we7 following the streaming service which was launched last month.

The programmes will be available through microsites, pop-out players, and on the we7 homepage.

Music streams will contain brand imaging, marketing messages and presenter led content, news and entertainment as well as a playlist of music. Once in the player, users can skip between tracks and link straight to their Facebook and Twitter.

James Rea, GMG Radio’s deputy group programme director, said: “These new splinter channels not only provide a great way for our listeners to gain deeper engagement with our brands by enabling them to listen to undiluted streams of the type of music they love, but making them accessible via we7 is a great way to encourage music fans to sample what our stations are offering 24/7.”

These new services will deliver new commercial opportunities, with future plans including the ability to create bespoke and personalised channels for clients and consumers.
