Dare has launched a new set of TV idents to support ‘Old Speckled Hen’s sponsorship of Prime Time on Dave.

Well-known stand up comedian and comedy writer Simon Evans, who has recently appeared on BBC1’s Michael McIntyre Comedy Roadshow, provides the voice for the "razor-sharp and eccentric" fox, in a nod to the character from the brand’s ads of the 80s and 90s.

The new ads see the Fox - clad in a tweed waistcoat and breaches - interacting with real punters in a modern pub in his own irreverent way and showing that he’s not afraid to tell it like it is.

The idents break on 15 July and are part of a £3.5m marketing campaign aimed at increasing brand awareness and drive drinker demand for the beer.

‘Old Speckled Hen’ sponsors weekday Prime Time on Dave, the ‘home of witty banter’.

Danny Brooke-Taylor, executive creative director, at Dare said: "Who wouldn’t want a pint with a cantankerous, opinionated randy old fox?!"
