The Lowry to devise marketing for BBC Philharmonic

BBC Philharmonic has appointed The Lowry to market its Bridgewater Hall concerts for the next year.

The Salford based arts venue will work alongside the BBC Philharmonic marketing team in order to devise a strategy to promote the orchestra’s concerts, having already worked together on a number of initiatives over the last year, including a ticket booking systems through the Lowry’s in-hose ticket agency.

BBC Philharmonic will move to Salford as part of the BBC’s relocation plan for departments such as BBC Sport, Breakfast TV and CBBC.

Julia Fawcett, chief executive of The Lowry,said: “We are delighted that the BBC Philharmonic has appointed us for this contract. By working together in the current economic climate, and sharing The Lowry’s marketing and ticketing expertise, we feel we can offer both better value for money and an improved level of marketing and ticketing support, with a view to growing audiences for what is one of the country’s best orchestras”.
