Society of Magazine Editors Awards introduces Columnist category
Entries have now opened for this year’s British Society of Magazine Editors Awards and there is a new category for Columnist of the Year.
An online entry form has also been introduced for this year’s submissions, which can be made until July 28.
Other award categories include editors of the year awards across 13 styles of magazine; a new editor of the year prize; and launch of the year.
Last year the editor of The Economist, John Micklethwait, was named Editors' Editor of the Year while NME editor Kriss Murison was named New Consumer Editor of the Year.
The results of the awards will be announced at a ceremony at the London Hilton on November 8.
