Artmag and Creative Scotland, the national development body for the arts, screen and creative industries, have announced a partnership aimed at promoting the visual arts to a wider audience throughout Scotland.

With a marketing budget from Creative Scotland, from the August/September issue onwards Artmag - Scotland’s largest circulation art magazine - will expand distribution throughout Scotland from its Edinburgh, Glasgow and South of Scotland ‘heartland’. At the same time circulation will be increased by 7 percent to 30,000 copies per issue and volume from 64 to 72 pages.

Said Andrew Dixon,CEO at Creative Scotland: “Artmag is a terrific opportunity to showcase creativity across Scotland. Our sponsorship of Artmag allows the magazine to increase its reach across a range of Scottish regions, promote initiatives such as Own Art for the benefit of artists and galleries across Scotland, as well as promoting the nation’s creative talent. Our ten-year vision is that Scotland becomes recognised as one of the world’s most creative nations and viewed as an attractive place to live, work and learn as an artist. Our investment in Artmag supports that ambition.”
