MediaCityUK move for sports specialist deltatre Media
London-based sports media company deltatre Media is opening a regional office in Salford Quays.
From its base in the Vision+Media building at MediaCityUK, deltatre Media North will provide a range of operational, technology, production and consulting services to the broadcast and sports industry in UK regions.
The move means the firm will be close to the relocating BBC Sport division, for which it provides data, graphics and digital media services.
"It has long been our intention to create a permanent base in the North West, and the BBC’s decision to move to Salford Quays simply sped up that process," said Paul Bristow, managing director of deltatre.
"Our investment in building a base in MediaCityUK reflects the huge potential we see in the region and in the UK as a whole."
The creation of the new office has been led by Hugo Sharman, the former commercial director of Fast Web Media who joined deltatre in July 2010.
“It was very important for deltatre to establish not just an office, but a solid operational base in MediaCityUK from where we are able to service our clients," Sharman said.
Deltatre media was formed in 2002 and currently employs over 50 staff in London.
