Paramount Pictures is preparing a major web takeover campaign to promote the UK release of new movie Kung Fu Panda 2.

Dubbed 'Panda-monium' day, 30 June will see the film's star character Po kung fu kicking his way across the homepages of Sky, AOL, Miniclip, Weebl Stuff, Vizwow and Swap It Shop.
The takeover campaign has been developed by media agency MEC Interaction. The agency has also worked on a social media campaign which will enable cinemagoers to interact with Po through Stardoll and Panfu, a social network where users take on the avatars of pandas.
Paramount UK has also launched a Facebook app that allows Po to use his Kung Fu skills to break your Facebook page.
Mark Brennan, emerging platforms director at MEC Interaction, said: "The day of digital Panda-monium enables us to remind consumers what they loved about Po, as well as giving the film a real sense of occasion.”
