A new Scottish PR company has been launched, describing itself as 'Scotland’s first specialist food and drink communications company'.

The move by Jardine to step down from presenting The Hour on STV to start this firm was announced by The Drum in May.

The chairman of the Scottish company will be Peter Lederer, who was the head of VisitScotland for nine years.

The company describes itself as Scotland’s first specialist food and drink communications company, and said: "The company will use broadcasting, publishing and social media to help Scottish restaurants, hotels and food and drink brands be the best they can be by taking their message of quality and distinction to the widest possible audience.

"The company will also campaign on issues affecting the food and drink industry."
