npower campaign features play-off fans on giant banners at Old Trafford and Wembley

npower will this weekend picture fans from teams participating in the Football League play-off finals on giant banners at Old Trafford and Wembley.

The league’s title sponsor has already generated 9,000 entries for its fans-driven ‘Every Shirt has a Story’ campaign which invites fans from all 72 clubs in the Football League to tell the stories behind the team shirts they wear.

This weekend’s play-offs see Reading play Swansea City in the npower Championship play-off final, Peterborough United take on Huddersfield Town in the npower League One, and Torquay United meet Stevenage in the npower League Two.

Winning fans from Peterborough, Huddersfield, Torquay and Stevenage will be pictured on giant 15 metre x 6 metre banners on the walls of Old Trafford on Saturday (28May) and Sunday (29 May), and winning fans from Reading and Swansea will be pictured on 24 metre x 16 metre posters on the side of Wembley Stadium on Monday (30 May).

The campaign, which was launched by Dion Dublin, sits across all media platforms, utilising advertising, PR, sales promotion and direct marketing and has to date generated 9,055 entries, 67,050 page views, 61,052 unique users, 2,437 YouTube views and 1,112 Facebook fans.

Sponsorship manager Emma Collins said of the campaign: “We are delighted with the response from football fans up and down the country. And ‘Every Shirt’ still has over a month to run.”
