Alfa Romeo signs sponsorship with I AM PLAYR game
Car manufacturer Alfa Romeo has signed a sponsorship deal with social media football game I AM PLAYR.
Created by games publisher We R Interactive, I AM PLAYR puts gamers in the shoes of a footballer playing for the fictional River Park Football Club.
The sponsorship deal will give players the chance to win and personalise a virtual Alfa Romeo car for scoring a certain number of goals within the game.
The activity also includes dynamic ad sites within the hoardings surrounding the football stadiums.
"Alfa Romeo is a perfect fit for the I AM PLAYR audience and we’re delighted to announce them as a sponsor," said We R Interactive's commercial director, Arianne Riddell.
Earlier this week I AM PLAYR announced that it had signed up former footballer and BBC pundit Lee Dixon to contribute script and storyline ideas.
