BBC Alba to launch on Freeview from June
Gaelic TV station BBC Alba will begin to broadcast on Freeview from next month.
As of 8 June, BBC Alba will broadcast on Channel 8, having only been available previously through satellite, and as of last week, through cable also.
The move however will impact on the broadcast of BBC radio channels through Freeview, with many being forced off air due to a lack of bandwith.
A marketing campaign will highlight the launch and increased availability.
